Fixed Speed Compressor

Fixed-speed screw compressors in the frame sizes most often specified for continuous industrial duty. Capacities run from small workshop units to 160 kW and above at 7 to 12 bar, air-cooled or water-cooled, with the air end direct-coupled to the motor. Fixed speed suits plants whose air demand stays close to the machine rating for most of the shift, where a variable-speed unit would spend its time at the top of its range anyway. Typical installations are textile mills, plastic spraying lines and general assembly. Every machine is run for at least three hours with a test report before dispatch.
