PM VSD with inverter compressor
Permanent-magnet variable-speed screw compressors from OPPAIR hold pressure within a narrow band by matching motor speed to actual air demand instead of loading and unloading at fixed speed. The permanent-magnet motor and the inverter drive sit in one compact package, and the range runs from small integrated units up to 250 kW machines at 7, 8, 10 and 12.5 bar. In plants with shifting demand the savings show up mainly in part-load hours, which is where a fixed-speed machine wastes the most energy. Models are designated OPP-xxPV in the catalogue.
